Autocrats for life! That’s the new matching tattoo Putin, Trump, and Tucker Carlson plan on getting once this Ukraine War calms down.

We saw headlines like Putin eyes Ukraine invasion, Trump praises his actions as ‘genius’ that are concerning since the United States is a democracy and Trump is a former President.
Trump said things like “This is genius. Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine … Putin declares it as an independent. Oh, that’s wonderful.”
AND
“This never would have happened” under his presidency, says Trump and that dude never lies. He always puts country over himself. So, he praises Putin and then claims he would have stopped all of this?
Let’s not forget:
- Trump wanted to dismantle NATO, which would help Putin
- Trump wanted to bring Russia back to G7, which would help Putin
- Trump withdrew from Open Skies surveillance treaty, which helped Putin
Then Tucker Carlson jumped into the game with some kind words for Russia.
Tucker Carlson is pro autocracy and pro Putin just like Donald Trump and both are being used as propaganda on Russian TV. #UkraineRussia pic.twitter.com/9f0UJZMQHW

And now both Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump are being used as propaganda on Russian TV. Some Republicans have called it out while most remain silent.
As Russian forces invade Ukraine, Russian TV features Donald Trump, Mike Pompeo and Tucker Carlson praising Putin.

Unfortunately, the Cold War didn’t end in 1989. Russia has been dividing the world with misinformation for decades now ranging on topics from race to vaccines to presidential races.
Division by Race:
- Russia Trying to Stoke U.S. Racial Tensions Before Election, Officials Say
- Russians Targeted U.S. Racial Divisions Long Before 2016 And Black Lives Matter
- Why Russia will keep poking America’s racial wounds
Divison by vaccine:
- Putin targets lots of Americans with disinformation. One example? Anti-vaccine groups
- Russian trolls are weaponizing the vaccine “debate” to divide Americans
- How political polarization broke America’s vaccine campaign
- Weaponized Health Communication: Twitter Bots and Russian Trolls Amplify the Vaccine Debate
Donald tried to overthrow a democratic election and install himself as an un elected leader of our country. He wants to be a dictator like Putin. When you see Putin’s indifference to killing civilians you can better understand Trump’s response to COVID also.
Next time you see someone say President Biden has been weak on Russia, you might share this handy list to remind them of Trump’s complicity of Putin:
- Praised Russia for annexing Crimea
- Softened GOP platform on Ukraine, blocking language to send weapons for Ukraine’s defense.
- Refused to condemn a Russian attack on Ukranian military vessels in Nov. 2018
- Asked western allies to readmit Russia into the G7 after Putin invaded Crimea
- Blocked a statement against Russia’s invasion of Georgia on 10th anniversary of the war
- Spread Russian-created lies and myths about Ukraine
- Smeared US ambassador to Ukraine, leading to her ouster
- Eased sanctions on Russian oligarch & companies linked to him
- Legitimized Putin’s sham re-election by congratulating him
- Temporarily froze funds for Ukraine’s defense against Russia by leveraging Zelenski to find fictitious dirt on Biden
- Undermined sanctions from Obama admin against Russia interfering in 2016 election
- Constantly degraded NATO, questioned US membership, as Putin had encouraged
- Publicly thanked Putin for kicking out US diplomats after sanctions, excusing the comment saying it would save payroll
- Gave classified intelligence to Russia inside the oval office
- Directed the CIA to share intelligence with Russia w/ the US receiving nothing in return
- Invited Putin to G7 in 2020 again. Allies rightly refused.
- Repeatedly praised far right autocrats aligned with Putin
- Refused to say Putin is a killer. Tried to infer US leaders murder US citizens domestically
- Expressed openness to ending sanctions against Putin
- Proposed a cyber unit with Russia who had just cyber attacked the US
- Was reluctant to sign sanctions passed by congress
- Complained about sanctions against Russia for murdering a former spy in London
- Defended the Soviet Union’s invasion of Afghanistan by regurgitating Putin’s propaganda
- Abandoned allies in Syria, allowing expansion of Russian influence
- Mulled returning spy bases to Russia
- Dismissed all intelligence that Russians interfered in the 2016 election, siding with Putin in front of the world
- Capitalized on Russia’s interference in US election
- Ignored warnings Russian bounties on American troops after repeated in-person briefings by the intelligence community. Dismissed as a hoax against all evidence.
- After several opportunities, never raised the issue of bounties on US soldiers with Putin
Trump on Putin:
• “Putin’s done a great job”
• “He could not have been nicer. He was so nice.”
• ‘He very much of a leader.”
• “I like him because he called me a genius”
• “Putin’s a genius”
• “He’s a great leader, I can tell you that.”
Trump’s actions even somewhat foreshadowed the Ukraine VS Russia. In 2019, the House of Representatives impeached Trump for allegedly withholding crucial military aid from Ukraine unless President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced investigations targeting the Bidens and other Democrats on discredited allegations.
In an interview even called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to release information regarding alleged dealings between Eastern European oligarchs and Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son.

We need to come back to real-world and accept we have been played and we need to protect democracy before we live in an autocracy. Trump and FOX News are dangerous and a big part of the reason why the United States is so divided.
Putin should be Public Enemy Number One right now. He’s single-handedly dismantling the democratic world and people who love freedom need to come together now more than ever.
